There will be a public meeting on the proposed project to improve recreational access to the Vischer Ferry Nature and Historic Preserve at 6 PM on December 1, 2016, at the Clifton Park Town Hall.  The engineering consultant, Barton and Loguidice, has looked at several alternatives that they will present at the meeting.  One alternative would be to bridge the 1842 Erie Canal with a replacement to the farmers bridge east of Clutes Dry Dock with a prefabricated steel bridge with similar lines as the 1862 Whipple Bridge at the main entrance to the Preserve.

Come to the public meeting December 1 at 6 PM to learn more about this exciting project.
