Cleanup crews were out on the Mohawk Towpath Byway two weekends this year: on Saturday, April 16 and April 23. Participating were the Clifton Park Open Space Committee, Environmental Counsel Of Schenectady (ECOS),  Southern Saratoga Interact, Waterford Canal Society, Halfmoon Trails Committee, Riverview Orchards, and others.  If you or your group would like to adopt a segment of the Byway near you please contact me or your local highway department.  This is all a part of the annual Canal Clean Sweep held every year across the N Y S Canal System on the weekend closest to Earth Day.
