Interact Roadside CleanupCelebrate the anniversary of Earth Day and reconnect with nature as the earth comes alive with a new season of growth and productivity. Several communities all along the Byway have clean up efforts planned this weekend April 20 and 21 including Clifton Park and Cohoes. Festivities in Clifton Park focus on the Canal & Vischer Ferry Preserve Clean-Up Day; Saturday April 20th from 9 am to Noon. Meet at either the Whipple Bridge or the Ferry Drive entrance where gloves and trash bags will be available and volunteers will coordinate efforts. We need your help Rain or Shine. There will also be clean up brush cutting at Historic Double lock 19 – so if you’re feeling up to it please bring clippers and shovels to spread mulch.

The Spindle City Historic Society is celebrating by cleaning up roadside areas and trails along the historicErie Canal in Cohoes on Sunday, April 21st from 10 a.m. – noon. Please meet near the intersection of Vliet and Summit Streets. All are welcome to participate.

Please dress appropriately as insects and weather may or may not be at their best.
