Over the last couple of months I have been collecting a summary of 2012 for an Annual Report on the Byway.  Statistically we did just fine and we certainly had major accomplishments.  But pulling together photographs I noticed that in every picture there is an overcast ski or it was raining.  The Bike the Byway event was under cloudy skis.  It didn’t rain for the Mohawk Hudson Marathon but it was not a pleasant day.  It rained so hard the day before Harvest Days that the ground was wet and muddy and the skies looked like they would open up at any minute.  Then there was the 10th Annual Mohawk Towpath Duathlon… there was a steady rain all day.  None of the competitors and none of the volunteers with ever forget that day.

Yes, it’s another year on the Mohawk Towpath Byway.  Let us all make the most of it, whatever weather we encounter.
