I have said many times and will again: “The Mohawk Towpath Byway runs on it’s volunteers.” The Duathlon is no exception. To pull off the event we had over 30 volunteers who donated over 135 hours to make the Duathlon a success. Although the final tally is not complete we made close to $3000 for Byway projects and improvements. Thank you everyone. There were 13 course marshals, 11 communications operators two doubling as emergency medical technicians (EMTs), 6 people handling registrations, water station person, 2 supervising the youth race, a cookie baker for the kid’s medals, and two people in the transition and finish area. That help assured a safe and fun event despite the rain.
THANK YOU ALL!
