Registration now to take advantage of the lowest entry fees for the 10th Annual Mohawk Towpath Byway Duathlon on October 14. If you have never tried it before it’s a fun 2.2 mile run; a 16 mile bike ride through some of the most scenic parts of the Mohawk Towpath Scenic Byway; and a 2.2 mile run to the finish. Registration is easy, and you have plenty of time to train for the event on those cool summer mornings between now and mid-October.
If you will be unable to compete, please volunteer to help out planning the event or helping on race day, Sunday Morning October 14.
This is a major fund raiser for the Mohawk Towpath Byway as well as a way to showcase how our communities work together to host a unique type of event within the Byway corridor.
Another way to help is to have your company sponsor the event. Sponsorships are as little as $150 to provide excellent exposure to a demographic that we don’t necessarily see every day. Already on board as major sponsors are Stewart’s and Mohawk Fine Papers. Stewart’s Shops are a fine community partner since they provide our travelers with finer conveniences and you and I with those much needed items on the way home or a rewarding ice cream cone. Mohawk Paper provides the fine glossy print stock like we use in our flashy publications like the Byway Discovery Guide and folding rack card.
The start of one of our more memorable Mohawk Towpath Byway Duathlons.
