The Mohawk Towpath Byway has been named as an Erie Canalway Heritage Partner.  “The program offers increased visibility and technical assistance to sites within the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor, while further enhancing the visitor experience,” announced Beth Sciumeca, Executive Director of the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor

This vividly demonstrates that we all are a part of a string of pearls from one end of the Empire State to the other end… at every point of the compass.

A great way to learn more about our “waterway west” and the stories, history, natural resources, and recreation that go with them as we explore our “backyard”.  The enthusiasm of all two dozen partners will help show our residents and visitors, alike, an experience of a lifetime.
